Ben grew up in a small town in Southeastern Pennsylvania, an area of the country still burdened by state-run wine & liquor stores. Although food and the family table had played a formative role in his upbringing, it wasn't until Ben's junior year at Sarah Lawrence College that he developed a taste for wine. It added romance and flair to his measly college meals and eased his growing concerns about pursuing a degree in poetry. Four years later, the glass is still half full, but the notepad and pen are gathering dust. |
