Vines not far from Les Grands Ponts, on the border between the Hautes Côtes de Nuits and Hautes Côtes de Beaune. A
very fine terroir intended for a fresh fruit cuvée - to be enjoyed like an elegant fruit juice. Ageing in vat.
Yann Durieux is one of the newest superstars in Burgundy. He follows in the footsteps of his beloved grandfather who was one of the pioneers of viticulture in the Hautes Cotes. His career started at Clos des Vignes du Maynes before spending 10 years at Prieure Roch. Then, in 2010, he began farming over 3 hectares of family vines. Today, he has grown his holdings to 15 hectares across the Cote de Nuits and Hautes Cotes. All of his farming is biodynamic, with no pruning during the vintage.
Winemaking is meticulous for all the wines. Yann makes no additions or subtractions in the winery. Fermentations occur with native yeasts in tank. Red and orange wines spend up to 1 month on the skins with stems. Pigeage is done very gently by foot. Aging between 1-2 years occurs in tank or barrel depending on the wine. All wines are bottled as Vin de France.
The harvests of the 2020 and 2021 vintages were particularly modest in terms of yields. Despite the intense heatwaves, the 2020 vintage offers an overall richness while maintaining a certain freshness, whereas the 2021 vintage stands out for its typically Burgundian character, with maturity emphasizing freshness and acidity.
