Shipping Policy

Please note that some states have laws on the shipment of alcohol that prohibit us from shipping to addresses in those states, acceptance of an order does not guarantee that we will ultimately be able to ship wine to you. Currently we cannot ship to addresses in ND, NH, PA, UT, MS, AL, VT, KY, SD and dry counties.

We will be in touch to confirm your order. We will not process or ship any orders without phone or email confirmation.

UPS only delivers on weekdays. Unfortunately UPS does not provide a delivery window so it's best to choose an address where someone is typically available to sign. 

A phone number is required for tracking information. * If you have not provided a phone number for the recipient, please let us know.

Adult Signature (21+) is required for all of our shipments/deliveries. We recommend that all shipments are sent to a business address or an address that is equipped to receive shipments containing alcohol during standard business hours. This will prevent extra transit time in trucks or warehouses for re-delivery.

You will be promptly notified by email of any problems or unexpected delays in processing and/or shipping. During times of bad weather, including extremes of heat we offer foam cold pack shippers with a frozen gel pack that can protect the wine for at least 2 days.

For all purchases to be shipped, you hereby authorize us to transfer your purchased items to a third party shipping company.You hereby agree to take sole responsibility for complying with all laws regarding importation of alcohol into your state. Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from Discovery Wines to the buyer in the State of New York. Therefore, New York State sales tax is applied to your order.


If your package is RETURNED to us and you want your package re-shipped you will be required to pay a $18 return fee + a new shipping charge. Contact us directly to coordinate the re-ship. We are not made aware of returns until they reach our store, this may happen a week or more after your last failed delivery attempt. You can also opt to get a refund on your shipment minus the carrier return fee and original shipping fee.

If you gave us an incorrect address and you need a transit RE-ROUTE contact us. There is a $18.00 fee per package for incomplete or incorrect addresses given and a re-route of the package is required. Re-routes can happen only while the package is still in transit.
