A dry rosé wine made from the lower part of the same forested Pinot Gris vineyard as the white cuvée, with the addition of 8 days’ skin contact.
Vineyard: Várvölgy — Pinot Gris vines planted in 2003 on a west-facing slope at 210—250 meters. Only the lowest-altitude portion is harvested. Clay soil with volcanic basalt and layered sediment (loess, deluvial deposit).
Making of: Grapes are harvested by hand. Half of the yield is pressed directly as whole clusters, 25% is destemmed, and the remaining 25% is added as whole clusters to the juice. Everything ferments together for 8 days in fiberglass before being pressed, returning to the same tank to age for 11 months. Bottled in August 2023 unfined & unfiltered with nothing added.
