Domaine De Saint Pierre Chateau Renard 2020 750ml

This is a lovely, topped up, or ouillé style Chardonnay, with a touch of Savagnin, from Fabrice. The ‘20 vintage brings lifted acidity, balanced nicely by some nuanced barrel aging that adds a bit of nuttiness. This is a perfect entry point to the oft overlooked whites from Domaine De Saint Pierre - the next step up would be the phenomenal single vineyard Chardonnay, ‘Les Brulees’ from 2020, which knocked our socks off when the wines arrived in NY a few months ago - load up the cellar!
