Martin Texier Cerouan 2023 750ml

With Eric edging towards retirement Martin has started taking on some of his father’s vineyard holdings. This is Martin’s first vintage of ‘Cerouan’ and is made from one of Eric’s special old parcels, ‘Le Clau’ located in St.-Julien-en-St.-Alban. The parcel is planted with old-vines of the esoteric and ancient Syrah variety, Serine. Eric played an integral role in saving this historic grape variety from extinction. The wine is fermented in concrete and aged for 15 months in used demi-muids barrels. This is a beautifully structured and focused red wine with violet floral notes, hints of lavender and savory olive brine.
